AIMSLFG
The association Integration Minors without Legal Status and Family Geneva was created in October 2018 to accompany children and their families living in extreme poverty in Geneva.
Their mission is to provide support opening perspectives to children in great precariousness and their families with the aim of emancipating them from misery.
1. ACTIONS
- Providing access to emergency shelter that offers a real respite to stabilize and rebuild.
- Ensure the long-term future of children: a force that motivates families to move out of precariousness through their own efforts.
- Helping families better understand local constraints and ways of doing things, in stages.
- Overcome the obstacles faced by families in extreme poverty: stigmatization, discrimination, obstacles to begging, poor recognition of skills.
- Accompanying families in their social, educational and professional integration process
2. A SOLIDARITY ACTION – CHRISTMAS TIME
Managed in collaboration with the Centre Ville Rive Droite Region of the Protestant Church of Geneva and other partners, this social and solidarity initiative offers gifts and a meal to underprivileged families for the end-of-year holidays. The first edition allowed the distribution of 1,000 meals and nearly 5,000 gifts that made 1,500 families happy.
This gesture is a light and a source of hope for those who are in adversity. We hope that this action will allow the families to receive, during a brief moment of respite, a little joy to share all together.
This action is intended for all families with children in a precarious situation in the Geneva area. Among them are children but also teenagers of all origins and nationalities who may be accompanied by grandparents or aunts and uncles.
