Project:
The project presented by the association aims to organize a free healthcare campaign in the city of Mamou, Guinea-Conakry, from September 2 to 6, 2024. Thanks to an international, multidisciplinary team of volunteer healthcare professionals, the goal is to provide general and specialized medical consultations, surgical care, laboratory tests, and medication distribution. This initiative significantly contributes to improving access to healthcare for the people of Mamou, who unfortunately do not have access to universal health coverage.
Planned medical Services
- General & Specialized Medical Consultations: General medicine serves as the first point of entry for patients, offering comprehensive healthcare management. Specialized medicine focuses on specific fields such as gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, and ophthalmology.
- Surgery: Unlike traditional surgery performed in hospitals, community-based surgery can take place in mobile clinics, local health centers, or hospitals when available. This approach ensures access to surgical care for people who would otherwise struggle to receive such treatment.
- Laboratory and Pharmacy: The laboratory and pharmacy play a crucial role in delivering medical care to underserved populations by providing essential medications and diagnostic tests.
