1. PROJECT ESFOR
Through the creation of a training centre (EsFor) next to the Caritas flea market in Plan-les-Ouates, Caritas Geneva has developed its training offer for young people in a situation of disruption. This training centre sets up socio-professional workshops conducive to integration and will build bridges with the private economy. The centre is part of a sustainable development process.
2. OBJECTIVE 1 : QUALIFICATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE
Objective 1 of the project focuses on the qualification of the young people who join the programme by obtaining a vocational training certificate (AFP) or a federal certificate of competence (CFC) in the logistics professions.
The association offers individualised support consisting of two central elements:
Professional support: Acquisition of professional skills related to the chosen profession.
Individualised follow-up: social support to help young people find solutions to their problems. The young people also receive targeted academic support through individual tutoring to ensure academic success.
3. OBJECTIVES 2 : ORIENTATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE
For young people wishing to find their bearings in order to undertake an initial training project, one-week orientation and stabilisation courses are offered to enable them to regain their self-confidence and dare to express themselves in a listening environment.
4. OBJECTIVE 3 : TO DEVELOP PARTNERSHIPS WITH COMPANIES AND INSTITUTIONS
Young people who develop their academic and professional potential are encouraged to continue their CFC training in an ordinary company. The programme also provides technical support for job hunting through specific workshops to help young people at the end of their training to make contact with companies.
5. PROSPECTS & DEVELOPMENT FOR ESFOR LOOGISTICS
The association wishes to develop apprenticeships in the logistics and energy transition professions. They also want to reach out to older people who need training leading to certification to join the labour market. The EsFor project is based on 3 axes:
- A social axis: opening up new perspectives in terms of training, integration and inclusion.
- An environmental axis: to develop a sense of ecological responsibility.
- An entrepreneurial axis: to ensure better self-financing
