1. The Emergency Accommodation Program (HUMA)

The Emergency Accommodation Program of the Païdos Association (HUMA) is an initiative dedicated to providing a temporary and secure refuge for children and adolescents accompanied in distress in Geneva. This program is designed to meet the immediate needs of young people and their families in situations of vulnerability or precariousness, offering them not only a roof over their heads but also a stable and caring environment.

HUMA offers emergency accommodation available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The capacity is 76 people: children and adolescents with their parents. The duration of accommodation for each family is 4 weeks, with the possibility of extension (up to 3 months), with the aim of assessing the social and health situation, determining the timing and conditions for leaving, or directing the family towards more permanent housing.

In addition to accommodation, the program provides balanced meals, medical and psychological follow-up, as well as socio-educational activities to promote the overall well-being of the young people.
