IDEE SPORT
Founded in 1999, Fondation Idée Sport is actively involved in promoting children and young people in Switzerland. Using sport as a tool to prevent addiction, promote health and foster social integration, they are committed to creating opportunities for people to practice sport. These programmes enable children and young people to come together regularly, across cultural and social boundaries, in an environment conducive to personal development.

1. MINI MOVE PROGRAM
MiniMove is an incentive programme offering a range of sports and fun activities for families with pre-school children (aged 2 to 5). In 2023, the Foundation joined forces with the commune of Plan-les-Ouates to open sports halls on Sunday mornings or afternoons, offering free events to families living in the commune. No prior registration is necessary, so anyone can come and go as they please.
Young children come accompanied by adults from their immediate circle to take part in the activities put on by the team, which is made up of adults and young coaches from the region.
2. OBJECTIVES
Their objectives go beyond simply promoting movement; they also aim to encourage equal opportunities from an early age and foster the social integration of families. These moments of exchange offer families a break from the daily grind and a chance to make contact with other people. As well as stimulating children’s physical and mental development, MiniMove helps to strengthen social cohesion within the neighbourhood or community.
In our dedicated meeting space, known as the “parents’ café”, they provide brochures and information material translated into many languages, making it easier to communicate with participants. In addition, they regularly invite external speakers from the region to lead discovery workshops, both in the sports hall and in the “parents’ café”. This collaboration allows us to forge links and promote other existing entities in the region.
