Strengthening the Women's Network

Comprising 15 member associations, the Women’s Network is dedicated to improving the living conditions of women and gender minorities, including trans, non-binary, and intersex individuals.

The Women’s Network operates in various fields such as health, access to education and employment, social connection, autonomy development, and discrimination prevention. Each year, more than 10,000 people benefit from the Network’s activities and initiatives, which strive to meet the specific needs of its beneficiaries and promote their rights.

Through active collaboration among its members, the Women’s Network creates a space of solidarity and support, thus fostering a more inclusive and equitable society for all.

1. Joint Project: Women’s Health Space

Launched at the end of 2021, the Women’s Health Space is a place dedicated to all people who identify as women*, designed to address the physical and mental health of women* through a feminist perspective and practices.

Located outside of hospital institutions and other traditional health facilities, this space offers an environment of trust, exchange, mutual aid, and sharing. It is a “safe space” where women* can feel comfortable discussing their health.

The primary objective of the Women’s Health Space is to create connections, build self-confidence, and support women* in managing their health. Each month, the space offers preventive and health promotion actions through collective activities such as informative and practical workshops as well as discussion groups. The focus is on helping women* take ownership of their bodies and their health in a broad sense, enabling them to live better.

2. Joint Project: Administrative & Digital Support Center

Recognizing the growing importance of digital tools in our society, the Women’s Network launched the Administrative & Digital Support Center in May 2021. This project was established to address the needs of people affected by the digital divide, who may encounter difficulties in their daily tasks.

The goal of the Administrative & Digital Support Center is to help these individuals become proficient with digital tools, thereby promoting their autonomy. By offering personalized support and tailored training, this project facilitates access to essential services and simplifies everyday administrative tasks for those in need.

3. Joint Project: OrfeGe

OrfeGe is the digital platform for institutional and associative organizations committed to equality in Geneva. This platform maps feminist and women’s institutions and associations, thereby facilitating public access to their services, publications, and news.

Through its interactive features, OrfeGe encourages synergies among actors working in the field of equality and gender. Additionally, it contributes to the development of a collaborative work culture, thereby strengthening the impact and visibility of initiatives in favor of equality in Geneva.

4. Joint Project: La Collective

La Collective is a major project born out of the need to create a dedicated space for the missions of various feminist associations in Geneva. This project aims to facilitate access for their target audiences to the services offered by these associations and to propose collective activities that promote social connections among women from different backgrounds.
